2017 FAULKNER LECTURES

Faulkner Lectures

Complete Lectures Program

Welcome to the 2017 Faulkner Lectures. Our theme is The Holy Spirit. As you can imagine, this theme has stoked much interest. The program plans to address a wide range of topics that are directly related to the Holy Spirit’s work in the Scripture, in the church, and in the Christian. There is sure to be some spirited debate as we explore the Holy Spirit’s work today.

A Variety of Topics

In addition to the theme, we will explore a wide range of topics, some relating to the family, evangelism, and leadership. As usual, the Friends of the Restoration will host a series of lectures on Monday, March 6. The series will end with a special keynote dinner at 5:00 PM.

Honoring Excellence

On Tuesday, March 7, at 5 PM, during the Silver Circle, Alumni, and Friends Dinner, we will honor Dr. and Mrs. Carl Cheatham for their outstanding service to the university, to the church, and to the community.

Christianity and the Free Markets

A special church and business workshop will be hosted on Thursday, March 9. Dr. David Johnson, assistant dean of the college of business, has coordinated a dynamic program addressing the challenges to Christianity in the market place.

Keynote Speakers

Our keynote speakers for chapel and the evening assemblies will surely convict and inspire – Melvin Otey, David Shannon, Clark Sims, Allen Webster, and Mike Whisenant.
